95 Years of Gucci With REBELLE

REBELLE, the online specialist retailer for pre-loved designer clothes, is celebrating Gucci’s 95th anniversary with a special (virtual) pop-up. According to the website’s 31-year old founder, Cécile Gaulke, the demand for Gucci has increased season upon season since the appointment of Alessandro Michele in early 2015; the creative director has reclaimed and reimagining much of the Italian house’s original allure with his eclectic mix of high opulence and bohemian irreverence. “The label is one of the most sought after designer brands listed on the REBELLE site with a resurgence of interest since the appointment of new Creative Director Alessandro Michele,“ said Gaulke.

There’s a huge demand for accessories in particular, with some pieces selling immediately as soon as they have been listed. The items range from £450 to £1,400 and include coveted  vintage horsebit buckle clutches and GG monogrammed shoulder bags , particularly popular thanks to recent SS16 Gucci drops like the GG Marmont bag, below left. Look out for pre-loved Fauna print bags – precursors of the new Gucci Tian print capsule collection which includes the Boston Bag, below right.

The vintage pop-up on Rebelle will launch on May 1st. Fashion magpies should log on early for prized 90s Gucci workwear and dresses such as these featured on the teaser image released by the website this week.
