Agnès b and David Lynch collaborate on a collection of printed T-shirts in what is shaping up to be a banner year for the director. A quarter of a century after Twin Peaks first aired, David Lynch will present two new episodes of his hit TV serial during the Cannes Film Festival in May. While the annual festival’s sun-soaked Cote d’Azur location is very much the polar opposite to Twin Peaks – Lynch’s fictional suburban town bordered by the snow-capped mountains of Washington – the director is set to celebrate Cannes one step further, with a collection of T-shirts.
To commemorate the festival’s 70th anniversary, Agnès b and David Lynch have collaborated on a series of printed T-shirts. Made of cotton, the three styles are available in black, white and grey. Montana born Lynch created two designs for the Parisian fashion brand; one captured quick pencil sketches surrounding the slogan ‘Wild at Heart’; the other places a cyclamen red lip on a nude backdrop. The late homecoming queen Laura Palmer would have surely approved of Lynch’s collection.
