Browns ‘Just a T-Shirt’

Browns artist T-shirts. London mainstay boutique Browns, established by the formidable Joan Bernstein and husband Sidney in 1970 on South Molton Street, has this season discovered the simple cotton T-shirt as the ideal canvas to displays the work of emerging artists. With ‘Just a T-shirt’, the menswear buying team’s admittedly humbly titled capsule collection of Browns artist T-shirts, the boutique has invited a host of young creatives to collaborate. From his studio in Ontario, Canadian painter and writer Brad Phillips imagined a sombre coloured still life scene, replete with unlit cigarette suspended between Cala Lily and Daisy buds.
