The first show to take off at London Fashion Week 2015 were the German twin designers Felder Felder with their feminine rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic. The label is becoming increasingly popular with actresses and singers alike for the bold designs which suit the styles of the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Rhiannon, for instance. The first day also featured Fydor Golan who are always popular during fashion week with lots of bright colour blocking, childish references and playful imagery to make them a hit with fashion watchers everywhere. Other designers that featured over the coming days included Faustine Steinmetz and Holly Futon with shows that lots of fashion week regulars always look forward to.

Round up of London Fashion Week 2015

Round up of London Fashion Week 2015

The London Fashion Week 2015 was another year of success and pushing the event into new arenas – literally since the base has left Somerset House to Soho’s Brewer Street Car Park.
In addition, many of the capital’s big stores have pledged their support to fashion week by helping to promote it and hold promotions and special events in the stores and on their websites too.
It was not just stores that made the effort, more shows and interactivity took place in bars and restaurants as well as in hotels in the capital.

Round-up of London Fashion Week 2013

Round-up of London Fashion Week 2013

It was the year when London Fashion Week underwent a rebranding exercise and launched its own manifesto to make the 2013 event one to remember.
It also received support and recognition from the government and the UK’s then Business Secretary Vince Cable announced that the fashion industry was, at last, beginning to be taken seriously by the business community.
He added that with British fashion making such a mark around the world, it was time to make entrepreneurs out of fashion designers.

Among the catwalk shows it appears that London Fashion Week 2014 was also an opportunity to highlight the fact that UK’s fashion designers have entered the digital age with a surge of ecommerce sites.
Indeed, compared with the 2013 fashion week figures when 33% of designers said they had ecommerce sites, that had risen to 43% just 12 months later.
To highlight this move towards digital, and the 2013 show’s move to utilise social media effectively for the first time, there were a number of live streams of various catwalks and on Twitter there was a ‘buy button’ for the Burberry show.
