Cat’s Eyes
Autumn Tour

Cat’s Eyes are an alternative pop duo, formed in 2011 by lead vocalist Faris Badwan and multi-instrumentalist Rachel Zeffira. Both members have musical history, with Badwan previously working with English indie rock band The Horrors and Zeffira being a soprano and composer.

The success of their initial performances prompted them to release two free tracks on their website, ‘Not a Friend’ and ‘When My Baby Comes’ remixed by Grinderman. On 28th February 2011 the duo released their EP Broken Glass with the help of the label Polydor. The EP featured four songs and was met with positive press, so on the 11th April 2011 they released a full length self-titled album, which was accepted with positive reviews, including a 7.9 score from Pitchfork.

Since its formation, the band’s many successes have even included a European Film Award for Best Composer for their soundtrack for 2014’s The Duke of Burgundy. Cat’s Eyes are touring the UK this autumn, culminating in a headline show at London’s King’s Place on October 31st. Following the recent release of their latest album ‘Treasure House’, it’s safe to say 2016 has been an important year in the journey of the band.
