Central Saint Martins MA AW15
Erik Litzén

The Autumn/Winter 15 edition of London Fashion Week began on a sombre note, opening with a memorial service for the late Professor Louise Wilson. It seemed only fitting that the inaugural day of shows would close with the Central Saint Martins graduate show. What’s more, it was the last Central Saint Martins class who had been taught by the notorious Professor. In one hour, 15 designers, 164 looks and a healthy dose of outlandish creativity came down the runway of Somerset House where menswear designer, Erik Litzén stood out from the crowd.

His designs were electrifying. Retro tartans, crushed velvet and glossy red vinyl made there way into his sportswear infused tailoring. What was most interesting about his collection was his approach to form, encompassing volume and close fitted tailoring to offer a fresh silhouette. We suspect this upcoming designer is on the path to success!
