High-powered Vitamin C: Clinique Fresh Pressed Review

Clinique Fresh Pressed Review.

As beauty legends go, the launch of American skincare brand Clinique is hard to top. In 1967, Estée Lauder’s daughter in law Evelyn Lauder happened upon a skincare feature in American Vogue, written by the magazine’s venerable beauty editor Carol Phillips and Manhattan dermatologist – and Estée Lauder’ in house product developer – Norman Orenteich. The article discussed the making of beautiful skin and inspired Evelyn Lauder to set out to create the first first allergy tested line of skincare. From the beginning, Clinique – as the name suggests – placed focus on scientific dermatology, applying science to readily available products, that were easy to use at home. Forty years after Evelyn Lauder first flicked the pages of Vogue, Clinique has launched the Fresh Pressed 7-Day System with Pure Vitamin C. This is perhaps one of the brand’s most science focused product launches to date. Using the Fresh Pressed 7-Day System with Pure Vitamin C feels satisfyingly like administering a dermatologist treatment at home, by the simple shake of a bottle.

As the new product’s name suggests, Clinique Fresh Pressed is to be used as a special high-potency treatment for one week. Vitamin C is most effective when fresh and previusly unexposed to Oxygen and so Clinique has packaged the precious Vitamin in two ways, There is the white powder, which arrives in individual daily-use sachets. Mixed with water, the powder magically transforms into a gently foaming cleanser. Once left on the skin for one minute and rinsed, the cleanser is followed by a supercharged Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C at 10% concentration. After pressing a button twice, to release the Vitamin C, give the bottle a gentle shake, before mixing two drops of the ointment with your regular moisturiser. Our favourite science at home kit to date.
