New COMME des GARCONS Fragrances

Comme des Garcons Fragrances

Comme des Garcons Fragrances:

Comme des Garcons is bringing out a series of 10 fragrances for the avid collector (and those who love a niche scent!). They aren’t exactly new. Sorry,  we led you astray there. But, for CDG fans these fragrances represent a special run that will surely sell out: 10 of the most iconic scents from the brand in what it has called an Olfactory Library. Remarkably Comme des Garcons has introduced 75 new fragrances since 1994 and the label can be credited with pioneering some of the more unusual ingredients used in perfumery today, many of which take their led from conceptual ideas (the smell of cathedrals for example) as well as leftfield ingredients such as the scent of smoked tobacco cigarettes. Indeed, grilled cigarettes forms the basenotes of Tar, one of the colognes included in this sought-after set. To spell it out, the full ‘library’ starts its olfactory journey in 1996 with Comme des Garcons’ very first cologne which is as remarkable now as it was 20 years ago, concocted by Mark Buxton, the nose behind so man CDG greats including Comme des Garcons 2 (the one in the silver mirrored bottle that smells of the an exotic train ride towards the ocean. The collection is priced at £70 and will launch exclusively at Paris Comme des Garçons Perfume shop,Dover Street Market London, New York, Ginza and all CDG shops on May 13th 2017 followed by worldwide launch on June 19th.
