Something About At ROOMS
The Veuve Clicquot Widow Series With FKA twigs

ROOMS by FKA twigs for the Veuve Clicquot Widow Series

“There aren’t always opportunities to make your wildest creative ideas a reality”, said Cheltenham born musician, songwriter, dancer and all around Renaissance woman FKA Twigs of her most recent project. Unveiled this Wednesday, FKA twigs’ interactive performance piece and immersive installation ROOMS, which forms the second annual Widow Series launched by champagne specialist Veuve Clicquot (the event includes the term widow in translation of french term Veuve and in homage to the venerable Madame Clicquote who bravely took over her late husband’s business following his passing).

“This is one of my most ambitious projects to date so I’m very excited to be bringing it to life for the Veuve Clicquot Widow Series”, FKA twigs proclaimed and the execution followed suit. Set in twelve specifically curated rooms, the piece follows the lead character’s quest for a spiritual and zodiac home, in what is billed as the ultimate Halloween experience. For her collaboration with Veuve Clicquot, FKA Twigs recruited the support of a host of London’s leading creative, from artist and set designer Gary Card to Issamaya French. Another luminary is David White, the set designer responsible for this summer’s Calvin Klein campaigns.
