From Louboutin to Charlotte Olympia
Havaianas for Charity

Havaianas have already come a long way from their humble flip-flop status. The Brazilian brand is a great example of a highly successful streamlined business model : footwear that is accessible to all; worn by everyone from art students to yacht-faring oligarchs. The company has historically partnered with other luxury designers for one-off limited editions – most recently with Charlotte Olympia for a collection of Kitty and Spider Web inspired flip flops

Now the label has partnered with a coterie of famous designers and industry big wigs to help raise money for Women for Women International – a charity that helps female survivors of war to rebuild their lives. The unique pieces will be auctioned off for the organisation on 1st July 2017 through online charity auction platform, Givergy – and there are some corkers among the lots: check out Naomi Campbell killer heels. They could cause some serious bloodshed if they were used as weapons – perhaps the whole idea.  On the delicate and more wearable side there are Christian Louboutin’s red tie ballerina-esque flip-flops as well as Simone Rocha’s beautiful mermaid-like pearl encrusted versions, Mary Katrantzou’s stacked gem-stone design and Manolo Blahnik’s incredibly romantic coral and rose adorned shoes; our bet is that these will raise the most money.
