Louis Vuitton Masters Wave 2

Jeff Koons returns to Louis Vuitton. Hot on the heels of his first partnership with the 1854 founded Parisian luxury brand, Koons has released a second capsule collection. Louis Vuitton Masters Wave 2 sees the contemporary American artist turn to Francois Boucher, Paul Gaugin, Édouard Manet and Claude Monet for inspiration. A further edition is exclusively available at the brand’s new sprawling Place Vendome flagship store and adds Nicholas Poussin’s 1636 finished bacchanalian masterpiece The Triumph of Pan to a selection of exemplary Louis Vuitton’s bags. British art, too gets a look in and Koons selected J.m.W. Turner’s atmospheric Ancient Rome, dating to 1839, for his designs. The work is normally on display at the Tate Britain; with Masters Wave 2, Louis Vuitton and Koons allow us all to own a piece of art history.
