Next stop on Aqua di Parma’s mediterranean tour: Cedro di Taormina

On a cold February afternoon, Italian luxury brand Aqua di Parma took us from a grey, rainy London to the sunny Mediterranean landscapes of Taormina. The picturesque setting on the coast of Sicily has attracted many filmmakers such as Luc Besson, Ford Coppola and Woody Allen. The elegant resort town has also long been a favourite holiday destination, drawing in Italian families on the hunt for sun, ice-cream and zesty lemon cocktails. It is now the latest inspiration for Aqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo fragrance collection. The scent Cedro di Taormina is a blue-bottled evocation of the surrounding geography; think rugged, rocky terraces, azure blue sea, and aromatic citrus gardens.

The Blu Mediterraneo collection has previously visited Capri, Calabria and the Amalfi coast. In the latest edition, the scent ventures from the coast to volcano Edna. Instead of using a chemical compound to reproduce the mineral rich, charred black stone Aqua di Parma ingeniously combine natural essences of black pepper, lavender and frankincense for the heart of the fragrance. The top notes include Italian market stall favourites Basil and Citron. Aqua di Parma – what a tease; we’ll all be sipping our limoncello by the brilliant blue sea (or just have another spray).
