Tom Ford Portofino Collection Body Sprays. The humble aerosol can gets a decidedly luxurious upgrade, as Tom Ford launches the latest addition to his Portofino Collection. In the hands of the Texan fashion designer and film director, the aluminium canister appears  with gold labels and in elegant turquoise, azure and sea blue; three shades evocative of the Mediterranean locations which have inspired Ford’s trio of scents. The Tom Ford Portofino Collection Body Sprays collection takes us on a metaphorical spin through Mediterranean resorts.

Costa Azzurra is named after the mountainous stretch of coastline on the French Riviera. the location’s pine forests,  sun-drenched stone formations and wild sea is captured in Ford’s woody fragrance which includes notes of seaweed, driftwood and yellow mandarin. Fluer de Portofino is all-together more floral as Ford was inspired by the flowering Acacia tree, spotted growing wild in the fishing village on the Italian Riviera. For Mandarino do Amalfi, Ford returned to Italy. Notes such as Mandarin oil, basil spearmint and two types of jasmine are Ford’s interpretation of the exclusive Amalfi coast, holiday resort of choice to artist and bon-viveurs for decades past. As hairdresser Vidal Sassoon revealed; ‘Capri on the Amalfi Coast in Italy is my ultimate holiday destination’. While we are planning our summer get-aways, at least Tom Ford’s trio of lightweight and lightly scented all-over body sprays can get us to new horizons. Dream of sunny resorts at the press of an aerosol button.
